Truly Indescribeable.

I can't really describe what jumping off that ledge was like. I was so excited about doing it, as I'd been waiting 14 years since I first heard of bungy, but my mom would't let me do it. I wasn't too nervous waiting to jump, as watching the guys go before me kept me occupied. But then they strapped VELCRO pads around my feet and walked me out onto the ledge. If I had time to think about it I probably would of gotten alot worse, but my legs went to jelly just as the guy counted to 3. I decided to jump, so I bent my knees in preperation to jump but they didnt have the strength to push up again, so a fall was all I managed. It was such a unnatural thing to be doing, but hell it was AMAZING. The first few seconds were just insane, I remember my stomach moving into my feet, and then the biggest rush I have ever had in my life. I had promised myself I wasn't going to swear, but I needed to shout to let some of the fear out.
Then it was over & I was bouncing up and down trying to unattach my feet to swing into the sitting position. My foot had got tangled in the cable I was supposed to pull, concerned that i would totally detach myself I just hung upside down until they winched me back to the pod.
I spent the next 1/2 hour with a smile on my face and the beer I just drank never tasted so good.

WoW fella - good effort! I can just imagine that feeling as the guy counted to three - all the strength draining from your legs as your part of your brain tries to explain to them that this is a stupid idea :D
It was crazy. Lying in bed last night if I closed my eyes and thought of the second I threw myself off the edge my legs do that wobbly thing again. Works everytime !
Nice one chris, don't think I would have done that ... one thing from reading the description though .... VELCRO !!! is that all that held you to the cord ?
I think I would have insisted on cable ties, tape, rope, buckle, extra tape, string, more cable ties and glue (the super kind)
Well done though it trully looked insane!
That's surreal, Chris. 9 seconds, it must have been unbelievable. I googled it and came across this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zu5gOTDII7A&search=nevis, and it's scary as hell.
Well done.
Makes cleaning the upstairs windows kind of tame!I need a drink when Ive done that
Coool, I'm extremely envious.
Maybe I envy you the exhilaration, perhaps I should do one :0
