Football
Harry has been to Argentina, and two of his greatest stories he ever told me about this country were...
A) Ostrich Riding. He rode an Ostrich, which sounded like one of the funniest experiences imaginable. I found the way you just put a brown paper bag over its head and it would stop running hilarious. I had been looking forward to doing this the whole way round the world.
B)Going to watch a River Plate football match. The Argentinians either support Boca or River. They are the most passionate supporters in the world and the games are wild and usually dangerous, but very entertaining. Harry went to see River play and remembered the defening roar of the crowd, until suddenly it fell silent, drums started beating in time as a family of what could of only been Argentinian mafia walked into the stadium, and took their seats. The crowd then errupted into deep thunder again.
I emailed Harry a few weeks ago in a little bit of a stress because every local I asked in every Argentine town had never heard of riding an Ostrich. I was getting some funny looks. Harrys relpy stabbed a knife into my stomach, as I´d had minor memory failure and he´d had actually ridden the Ostrich in South Africa. Gutted.
My luck must of doubled because of the Ostrich thing. Whilst in Buenos Aires Sam and I managed to get two of the most wanted sports tickets on the planet. River vs Boca on Sunday 8th October. It cost a small fortune, but is penned as the most passionate sporting event ever. Don´t worry Gaby, Sam has bought a gun, I have a cattle prod, and because of the expensive tickets, we dont have to go through the arms check!
Maradonna will be in the stadium so if Sam has a bullet left at full time, we´ll give him the hand of God!

Yes Give that Fat Bast*** a bullet for me. Never forgave him for cheating us out of the World Cup.
Very jealous of you going to see River vs Boca it will be amazing.
By the way Chris in case you didn't know Glen Hoddle is no longer the manager of Wolves you now have Mick 'The Bore' McCarthy (Roy Keanes best mate who has taken his place as the manager of Sunderland!). Wolves are their normal middle of the table boring selves.
On the other hand the biggest team in the Midlands the mighty Villa are no longer the control of Dirty Doug Ellis. He has sold the club to a VERY rich American billionaire named "Randy Lerner" (real name not made up) and we also now have the one and only Martin Oneil as our manager who has been promised BIG money to spend on players. Villa after 7 games of the prem season are UNBEATEN and are 6 in the table 3 points behind top spot Man Utd. Chris this is all true I am not dreaming it up. UP THE VILLA!.
Ps: Sam. Sarah will be emailing you soon with some VERY exciting news in the Helm Family
I try and check the tables once a week and had noticed Villa were for once above the middle of the premiership after god knows how many years.... I also noticed that they are BELOW PORTSMOUTH!
Yes Wolves are boring.
I thought it was a massive justice and up yours to Alan Pardew when Reading beat West Ham last week. Do you get a chance to go see any premiership games at the Majeski?
As for the Argentines and the whole Maradonna thing - they dont think he cheated, they think that it is ok because he got away with it, and that for them is part of the game.
Sam is looking forward to that email!
Chris, Stay where you are the WOLVES!
P.S Randy Lerner, seriously?
River vs Boca... awesome, it will be a tickertape extravaganza.
Maradona is a legend and the best footballer of all time despite any handball. Shilton should have saved it anyway, he was/is a foot taller than the wee man.
Maradone is also no longer as fat as in the picture on the blog having cleaned up his life considerably.
Maradona may not be as fat since he had to get his stomach stapled so he could not eat anymore and yes he was a great footballer (not beter than G Best though) but he is still a Handballing Cheating so & so!.
Chris: Randy Lerner? Seriously he has bought Villa from Doug Ellis in a £70mill buyout with all his own money (Not borrowed ala Mr Glazer at Man Utd). He is an American Billionaire who made his fortune when his Dad sold his company (MBNA) to Bank of America. He has promised to spend BIG not quite Abramovich style but certainly ALOT more than a certain Mr Ellis.
There are no two ways about it. Maradonna is FAT. He is on television the whole time over here. In fact, on one of the television channels that doesnt have the rights to show the Boca matches, they just have a camera trained entirly on the big man Maradonna stood in the crowd for the full 90 minutes. People watch it!
Although when Boca score you cant see anything because the whole stadium shakes (along with the camera) The Argentines say that its the heartbeat of the stadium you can feel. I just think its Maradonna jumping up and down!
I thought that was a photo of chris??
Enjoy the match you lucky gets!
